Mayo Couple Counselling Services (MCCS)
MCCS was formed by Cate Heffernan to provide a much needed all round service for Couples in intimate relationships in Mayo and the West of Ireland. Cate was trained in the UK, first at Leicester University UK in a four year diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling followed by a further year with RELATE UK in conjunction with the University of East London where she specialised in Couple Therapy. She has completed further advanced training in Couples Therapy at the Tavistock Centre, London. Cate was originally accredited by BACP UK and is an accredited Supervisor and Psychotherapist with IACP. She has worked as a therapist in Mayo for the last 10 years. In the last few years she has developed and delivered training courses in Couples Therapy.
